Depending on which payment method you use, there may be different reasons why a direct debit does not work. Please always check first whether the payment method you have stored is active, valid and covered.
Payment with Paypal
- It may be that PayPal does not use your stored payment method for the debit, but the credit balance, which may not be sufficient. To resolve this, you can top up your PayPal account manually.
- There are also cases in which the debit must first be authorised manually by you. In this case, you should have received an email from PayPal.
If these two solutions do not apply to you, you can also contact PayPal. The direct debit can then often be reactivated within a short time.
Payment by credit card
- Your credit card details may be out of date. Please log in to your customer account and update your payment information.
- our credit card limit may also have been exceeded. Our customer support team can help you to postpone the debit to a date when the card limit has been reset.
Alternatively, you can update the payment in your customer account. You can either enter the current payment method again and solve any existing problems or use a new payment method. You can find an explanation here: How can I update my payment method?
